The unforgettable moments. The determined faces. The winning feeling. The sheer joy. The heartaches. Athletes from 204 countries must have experienced some, if not all, of those defining aspects of the Olympics. As the Games come to an end, the Londoners admittedthat they will not match up to the great money and effort spent by the Chinese on the greatest sporting event on Earth. To the Chinese, you have seen the world, but for us, it was clear we saw China. Different skin colour and socio-economic background don't mean a thing, as these athletes gather to become the best they can be. And we have seen countless times how the human body can exceed its limits to supernatural means.
But a question that needs to be asked: even with so much political unrest in the Middle East, how can athletes still win to do their contries proud? Or that a nation with such poor conditions still produce marathon-winning athletes? Or that China, with the Sichuan Earthquakes as recent as this year, still produce a whopping 51 gold medals?
Well, people might say that it is determination in human spirit. Others might say that these athletes trained with such hard work, and reap in the benefits with monetary reward. I say it's the spirit of sports, and most importantly, the spirit of the Olympics.
Kudos to Beijing for holding one of the Best Games in history. For the athletes, keep the Olympic flame burning in your spirits.
God Bless and Peace.

Prelims.
And so the Prelims will start.
And the Olympics will end.
Double Kill.
Just need to make a push these 2 months, or risk not fulfilling my dreams.
High hopes from teachers, friends, family... All on my shoulders. So all I need are these 2 months.
If 4C aren't that serious about O levels, then I just have to do something about it. dao
Lord, I need your strength to pull off this race. Like Bolt. Like Phelps. Like a champion.
Of course, I don't expect to finish first, but I don't expect to finish last.
I need to clear every hurdle, or risk falling behind.
Come on, Gavin.
God Bless and Peace.

2008 2008
RED ANTS
I hate red ants.
I had to blog today since it's 2008 2008. Will never come again in like an eternity. Well, like every other day that is.
Preparations for next week Prelims... no comments. What matters most is O levels, but always give it your best shot.
A motto in life I never really knew I had: Don't give up.
God Bless and Peace.
P.S. Hope Faiz will be okay in his entire life.

B3.
And so I'm disappointed and a little surprised.
Disappointment because of the B grade, and surprise because of the 'pass' grade for oral.
Oh well, giving it one more try and hope for the best.
Tuition from Mon to Fri. It was hell. And this week is one of the most boring weeks of the year.
Things will be brighter next week, with the soccer match between 4C and 4E during PE. But wait, PRELIMS on 26th Aug. -.-
Start off with English and SS, then Chem and MT followed by Geog and E Maths before the September break.
Just 2 more months and 3 days to O Level Chem Paper 2, who can help it? Definitely not time. Only we can help ourselves.
English orals just passed and there is no link between CCTV and hair stylists. Anyway picture description was not good, but let's be optimistic.
God Bless and Peace.

11 more hrs.
11 more hrs till we go to the canteen and get ourselves either a pat on the back or a punch right in the face.
Before that, the National Day Weekend. The new tuition is really picking up pace and had extra lessons on Sat and today. SL interviews on Sat too, and happy to say we have bright sparks in the Junior Leaders.
Hair cut on Sun, and I think it's...not too bad. Not to mention 26 laps around a swimming pool to get myself in the mood of the Olympics. Hooray to stamina.
Oh speaking of stamina, glad I had some in the VS Annual Cross Country Championships with a top 20 position! Along with Rochore House getting 1st place! Baik VS spirit.
Studied at LJS with Kaymond and Junrong, before reaching home.
I'm beat, and the truth will prevail no matter what. Hope 3 months of tuition didn't go to complete waste.
God Bless and Peace.

It's 888!
But the real thing comes in the morning with 8:08am and 8 seconds, along with 8 milliseconds.
May everyone be prosperous for an entire lifetime with wealth and love, and may everyone buy 4D today. xD
For me, 8 points'd be great for O Levels!

Disappointment?
The mock exam results were back, and the biggest disppointment was of Bio and Physics. However, some unexpected results came about, like Geography Elective.
Here's my results (so far):
Bio 60.0
Physics 63.3
Chem 65.0
Geography 21/25; 39/50
E Maths 68.5
A Maths 68.8
EL 20/25 Compre
Summary and SS papers yet to be returned.
I shall not go about complaining, but rather, learn from some hard falls I've taken. What's done is done, and on paper, it seems my L1R5 has improved, looking at 15, my initial target of the mock exams. And so this is a fragile stepping stone but I'll build a stronger and safer stepping stone from Prelim 2 in order to land my feet on safe haven after O levels.
Target: 10. Might as well aim high for Prelims.
And also, on a brighter note, EL oral and the next evening, a practice oral session with Miss Raksha, as I had a horrible one the day before. And I made up for it with 35. So cheers to English, I guess.
National Day Celebrations coming up and have to run 4.0km at east coast. Everyone keeps asking me "how do I do it?", just keep running. I never realized how I've kept to a moral value of being resilient, but that's what keeps me going. Wish me luck.
And National Day is ruined with tuition and Senior Leader interviews. Oh yeah, I joined a new tuition for A Maths as I plan to stop at term 4 for novel learning centre cos there's no point in pushing all the way till december, called M****, and I think the worksheets are great. Max Aaron asked me why is the tuition not effective and I think it's a need of practice and most importantly, love for Maths to drive us through. Hoping to drive passion into my revision.
And National Day's great time to catch up on Physics and Bio.
MT results next tuesday. O_O
Scared to my knees, but again, what's done is done.
Oh well, like what the CEo of Alexander Hospital, "S*** happens."
God Bless and Peace.
