Yesterday, went to school for cheers 'meeting', which never happened in the end. So Joshua played guitar and sang songs. At 4.30, went to JG, but something weird happened.
At Paya Lebar MRT, waited for train. Suddenly, this man announced over the PA system "Next train would be arriving in 25 min" I was like, stunned. So called up Keng Seng saying I'll be darn late for service. Not knowing 5 min later, an empty train suddenly appeared out of nowhere. WEIRD. Service and home straight. Supposed to go Caleb's house but Mummy said dinner 'da bao liao', so went home lor. HAHA MAN U LOST!
Went to cut my hair today -.- and went for tennis. I didn't know MARIA SHARAPOVA and her opponent were freaking training at KEPPEL, the same place I have lessons at --.--. I think going to watch the match tonite but its bout 45 min to the match!
Tmr's New Year's Eve. Dunno whether Tommy's having house party. And the best part:
Haven't done homework yet ---.---.
Let's usher in the new year!
New Year's Resolutions coming up.

LOL
OH MY GOSH!!
Last night, was listening to Muttons At Midnight and since it was a friday, they have this segment called 'Mutton LOL', where you tell jokes to the freakin' DJs.
I got a joke to tell, so I spam calls to 66911987. The best part:
THE PHONE RANG.
'HELLO!?'
'HEY who's this?'
'This is Gavin.'
'HEY Gavin so you have a joke to share?'
'Ya I do.'
'Okay, bring it on man.'
"Ok, why did the magician call his assistant 'son'?"
"Magician call his assistant 'son'? Dunno man. Give up."
"Huh, cos' he raised him up"
'OHHH, OHHHH'
'Okay see you then bye'
'Hope you dun have a happy new year' *laugh*
They're just jokin', are they?
LOL, that made my day.
Blogging in school!
Plus 2 more days to the new year!
Peace.

362 days of 2007 GONE LIKE THE WIND
"Please say HELLO"- Robert Neville
4 more days to the end of a wonderful relationship with the holidays.
Holidays are always on-off relationships, sadly.
Even if we were to tie the knot with them, it would just end in divorce (school, work). LOL!
Anyway I'll start the post with church camp details.
Day 2
Woken up by stupid alarm handphones at 6. Nasi Lemak for breakfast, then devotion sessions, followed by morning service.
Spirit of inferiority- the work of the devil.
Lunch, then it was time to get wet.
Played dog and bone with water bombs and hit my mortal! Opps. :p
Then had flour all over my hair and got splashed by a bucket of water.
Maybe I deserved it. Hahah
Bathed and time for night service.
"My God is bigger!"- Pastor Chris Hope
Snooze time at 12.
Day 3
Bee Hoon for breakfast and had devotion time. Justus told us to help serve drinks to our group during lunch time and say "I love you... as a neighbour".
After our last service in the morning, Andrew reminded me and passed the message around. Kind of weird, but amusing at the same time.
Then, changed into dark clothing and time for BIG GAME.
1st game: dunked our heads into salty milo and flour Sacrifice
2nd game: Slowest is the fastest
3rd game: used bubble tea straws and spit water into a pail full of holes Survival
4th game: flipped through 200+ pages to find 14 words that says: Rachael Tan is wearing dark red clothes with too much mascara. Her super-kiasu character wowed Marcus. Perserverance
5th game: Memory
6th game: played UNO stacko and my hand was shaking when taking the stupid block out of the tower Marcus Lee's Challenge
7th game: drank a mixture of celery, ginger, onion... that almost made me vomit I dunno wad to call it, cos' it was HORRIBLE.
After that, bathed and time to prepare for skit. Dinner and CURRY CHICKEN WAS THE BEST. Then, it was SPECIAL NIGHT.
We did Rap-unzel. And the most surprising thing was that we won 3rd. I think it was our cheer that helped a lot.
Played UNO cards and hopping game, caught a frog, told lame jokes and before we knew it, it was already 3am. o_O
Bathed at 3.30 (shuang arr) and slept at 4.
Day 4
Woke up at 8. DEAD TIRED. But had to wake up. Porridge, then CLEANING UP of campsite. Boys from bunk 3A went mad. When packing up, suddenly we spam CHOKONEN cheer. It was FREAKING LOUD, and John keep spamming "one more time". Ryan then had sore throat, before we kena scolded. LOL it was DARN FUNNY.
Angel and Mortal revealing session and my Angel was Benjamin Yap, who lives above me, so I alr knew. Then CHOKONEN won 2nd. HAH we didn't expect it.
Went back to church and spam MCR with Caleb on the bus and CHO-KO-NEN cheer! And the end.
A day after the camp, went to Malaysia and got my christmas present from there. :)
NICE FOOD, that's for sure.
Christmas Day. Watched a Christmas Musical and I Am Legend, with Gordon, Bernard, Kaymond and Tommy. The 1st hour was great, but then became predictable. After the movie, had headache since we were 3 rows away from the screen. O_O
At night, had dinner at Chun Kee Hong Kong Street with family (remembered the name).
Boxing Day. Had this golf tournament in the morning and played HORRIBLY and got 10th out of 14th. T_T At night, called 987 for Roast Mutton, and got thru! But I stunned cos' my mind went blank when insulting the DJ, and lost out. T__T
3rd day of Christmas. Late for Black Shirt Meeting! T____T and went for movie AGAIN! Watched the Golden Compass with Calvin, Erwin and Xin Kai. Movie's quite boring but it's okay. There's going to be a sequel, confirm.
4th day of Christmas. Planning to chiong homework, before the NEW YEAR, and KS-er says go to Joel Yong's house party.
Time flies.
Real quick.
Before you know it, 'O' levels would be finished.
For now, Peace.

Adore Him Youth Camp
It was one heck of a camp. Though it was my first time, I had so much fun in it. Thanks JG!
Day 1
Woke up at 7.05am and dad fetch me to HMC. Kept on running to the toilet to change my clothes cos' I was wearing a little too formal. Plus I did not know most of the campers there, so I thought it would be awkward too. Received my camp T-shirt and file, and found out I was in this group called 'CHOKONEN'. Sounds like a mix of chocolate, coconut, chicken and choker -.-. Anyway headed off to the campsite, which was at Dairy Farm Road (No the camp was not with cows and chickens), and had the briefing and all that stuff. I looked at my group members, who were Glen Chua, Tabitha Loh, Benett Tan, Belvin Yeo, Andrew Ang, Warren Tan, Annabella Sim, Cherie Yeo, Liew Jia Hui and Eunice Chen, and yup, I don't know any of them!
Suddenly, we had to choose who our 'mortal' is gonna be. 'Angel and Mortal' is a game you play throughout the whole camp, where you'd have to give gifts to your mortals to show care for your mortal. From a bag of names, I picked Hui Ping, who I also dunno, so they had to show me who she is. How embarrassing.
We had fun and games for the whole day, like the hopping game and plate portals, before heading off to dinner. That night, we had sermon and I encountered the Touch of God, falling on the ground. I never felt so overwhelmed before. It was so enriching and cleansing.
After service headed back to the campsite where we had 'tribal council', but it's not elimination process instead it's enriching one team with extra points! Bathed and sleep at 12.
I'll write day 2, 3, 4 after Malaysia trip.
In the meantime, Peace.

The Pledge
Hey,
yesterday was SATURNday and also my dad's birthday, so went to my grandparents' house and have a hearty steamboat dinner. Watched Just For Laughs after that! Mummy, it's over! :)
But before that, went to Hinghwa Methodist Church for camp briefing. I tot briefing would take at least an hour, so Samuel's dad fetch us there 20 min late. Not knowing 5 min later, it ended. ARRRR, that's wad i call time used wisely.
Back to home, we 3 siblings watched Asian Idol and Mike from Indonesia was the bomb, physically and vocally. Since you can vote for 2 countries, I support Malaysia and Indonesia. :D
After that, they were showing this movie called The Pledge, starring Jack Nicholson. It's about this retired cop who made a promise to the mother of a murdered child, but goes way too far into keeping it. He becomes paranoid and stuff like that, but meets a mother and her child, who could bring her to the real killer. So he calls the police and they await his arrival in bushes.
This is the TWIST i love.
The killer who was actually on the way there met with a serious accident and was burnt to death, with agonizing pain shown on his charcoal face. JUSTICE. But when the killer didn't arrive (cos' he's dead), they all think Jack Nicholson's character is wrong and all abandon him. AND HE GOES MAD, thinking the killer's still alive.
Moral of the story: Read the news.
Peace.

Alamak the last time no videos. So I put them here. Before entering the MAX Pavillion, they said no photography allowed. But HELLO, handphone cameras + videos. So it's not much use with that rule. So enjoy!

MCR CONCERT 11.12.2007
Today's 1212! Wait till year 2012. Then it'll be 121212. :D
Anyway in such a good mood cos' yesterday wasn't any ordinary day. 11.12.2007 is one of the most surprising and luckiest day of my life.
Flashback to last thursday... I was watching the last part of Nokia Football Crazy on Star Sports when Jamie Yeo posed a question: What is My Chemical Romance's current album?
Without knowing the prize (which happens to be A PAIR OF MCR CONCERT TIX WORTH 95 BUCKS EACH), I submitted my answer thru email since I happened to be surfing the net tt night...
Tuesday, 11.12.2007. Played tennis with Daniel and Gerald for 2hrs, then headed to Parkway for lunch. When buyin bubble tea, got a missed call from an unknown caller but ignored it (could have been a HUGE mistake).
Then, went to my place and PS2-ed for an hr before Mum cooked us Maggie Mee and headed out to the dentist. Quite salty but was enjoying it.
Then came the call.
'Hello, are you Gavin?'
'Yes?'
'This is Catherine from ESPN. You have won a pair of tickets to the My Chemical Romance concert tonight.'
'AGAIN?? I won a pair of tix to MCR tonight?'
Daniel and Gerald were like opening their mouths so big you could fit a fist in them.
'Yup'
'REALLY? For what contest?'
I was like so blur about it that the lady on the other line was laughing, cos' seriously, I totally forgot bout it. Lady Luck was on my side that day.
Plus I never thought that I would win it lor.
Called up everyone in my family.
Bro and Sis: HUH???
Dad: Hmmm
Mum: Tonight arr? EXPO so far away, don't go lah.
Best reaction goes to my Mum. xD
Since Dan and Gerald didn't want to go (cos' they pai seh), went with my bro.
Went there bout 7.55pm and saw this long long queue. We thought have to queue up, but we found out those are for $75 tix. Saw Joshua and David in that queue. :P
Waited 1 full hr for the concert lor. In between, everyone was so anticipating the band that when testers came out in the shadows, they were already screaming. OMG I knew what was coming.
The lights dimmed and deafening music started playing, SERIOUSLY since we were standing 15 metres away from the stage. :o
Then came Gerard Way, the lead singer of the emo goth rock band, sporting in an all black outfit with black hair. That's why you call it 'The Black Parade'. His bad mouth really made it hilarious. F-words in almost every sentence: Are all you motherf****** ready to do this? Are you f****** serious?
One time the pushing and shoving got so violent that some ppl were like fainting and were falling on the floor. Then like some inspiration Gerard went: Get on your f****** feet! I am f****** serious. I don't care how much fun you guys are having, but when you see your friends fall down, YOU PICK THEM UP! Sounded like a typical secondary school teacher, but from then on, no more pushing and shoving. Hahaha, the power these bands have over fans.
The concert was only bout 1hr and a half, and boy, the 1st part was a LIVING HELL. It was so HOT plus I had a jacket on and can't remove it cos' it was so squeezy. And I wasn't used to the loud banging music for a while. Some ppl behind complained bout TALL ppl, referring to us. But I don't care, eat your veggies.
The turning point was when they played 'Welcome to the Black Parade'. From then on, really started to sing and jumped to the jamming music, along with some photos and videos. :P
Songs they played:
It's Not A Fashion Statement, It's A Deathwish
You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison
I'm Not Okay (I Promise)
Helena
Dead!
The Sharpest Lives
This Is How I Disappear
Welcome To The Black Parade
I Don't Love You
House Of Wolves
Cancer
Mama
Sleep
Teenagers
Famous Last Words
Too bad they did not perform Disenchanted or The End.
Anyway, Dad fetched us back and reached home at 12am. Had supper before that and slept right after that (so tired). Still have the ringing in my ear from the concert.
So THANKS NOKIA FOOTBALL CRAZY and MCR!
Some photos and videos the next time I promise. Hope you'll enjoy.
