Yay.

Four words.

Thank.

God.

It's.

Friday.

Yay!

Opps that's five words.

With exams one week ahead, I guess I have to adopt last yr's style of last minute. No choice lah, but rest assured that the June holidays will be reserved for that. But the time I spend everyday doesn't seem to cover the entire syllabus. Oh well, practice papers help a bunch.

Here's something to cheer about?

A round of applause filled the classy hall, with its cozy ambience that allows you to sit back and relax the evening away.

The two students came out of nowhere from the side of the hollow stage. The wires of the microphones entangled with each other, as they approached centrestage.

"What is the meaning of life?" His young voice finally breaks up the sea of claps.

The Indian girl boy next to him blurts out.

"It is about HOW GREAT I AM."

For those who went to Jubilee Hall last Friday, you'll know who it is.

God Bless and Peace.

Current song playing: Goodnight and Goodbye by the Jonas Brothers

It's set.

FULL DAY HOLIDAY next Wed.

And thanks Justin Ang for reading my message on air and even playing the song I wanted. Once a Victorian, always a Victorian.

Full Day?

Victoria School eagerly awaits.

But 1st of all , on Mon, since it was the 3rd Mon of the month, Ajisen had 50% off Ramen! So I pitched in 5 bucks for the bowl of instant handmade noodles. Then went to cut my hair, but seems to be no different from last week. Then went to my place to play some PES. Apparently, my PS1 controller seems to put you on the backfoot. Lost the 1st match 2-0, then won Bernard 3-0 -.-. Last match played against Gordon and won 2-1, but it's all just in cyberworld.

Riise, if you could just head the ball AWAY from goal, the final whistle would have blown. But you had to score a fantastic header at the back of your own goal, and put Liverpool on the disadvantage. 93:59.

Night study on Mon and Tues, before today's X-country championships. Sec 4s and black shirts had to go, but what really pulled the supporters down was that for the entire race, Sec 4s sat on the ground, because the "stadium" can't house 20 schools, especially with our 200 students. So the perfect solution: Sec 4s sat on the floor. Black shirts and red shirts tried to spur the crowd on, but they sat and play cards, PSP, even a chinese chess game. -.-

We cheered and I gave my sole to CCA branch. (Both my shoe soles came off.) Then prize presentation and suddenly, a heavy downpour. We waited and suddenly Jonathan Wong came running in "WE ARE 1st!"

Yes, I'm glad the support helped out in one way or another. VS B Div 1st. VS C Div 4th. But we were promised of great news tomorrow morning.

Victoria School eagerly awaits.

Btw, received Maroon 5 and the Jonas Brothers' albums. (:

God Bless and Peace.

6 months left.

Light from above.
From Caleb's earpiece. Haha.
Match made in Heaven. -.-
For Sec 4s, that is.

I never knew English remedial lessons could be so helpful. We did this story on 'The Rose and the Silver Key' about a man with a strong personality and a prostitute, and had an English test the next day. I based my story on it, surprisingly. Now I wait to see how much I remembered from the story.

I find Night Study not too bad, but if there were no teachers, it would be completely useless. Concentrating at home is better, it's just that I'm afraid if I'd dose off on my table.

Meanwhile, 2 more weeks to the exams, and my revision is all over the place. I prefer to sit down and do some papers, instead of reading the entire chapter. I dunno if you would agree with me, but I think knowing what you're writing is better. Besides that, I have confidence in my Physics, Chem and Chinese. The rest, I will have to read write up.

Yesterday was Dramafest, before that, SQ, Gord, WJ and Kow went over to my place for PS2-ing. The scores for the PES 2008 matches:

Liverpool 1-1 Man United (Liverpool win 3-2 on penalties)

Liverpool 1-0 Man United (Babel)

Liverpool 1-0 Man United (Torres)

Guess who's Liverpool? :D

And some Bishi Bashi too. :P

Dramafest was not too bad, but I can't wait for Concert Band. 31/05/08.

We watched the plays, and saw some hidden talent at Raffles Hotel. The place is awesome, and we caught a Larmbo at the outside of the hotel. Was in one of the classy toilet, drying my hands out and saw Danial coming in, with 10 other VS mates/student leaders, coming in one by one.

Hello Gavin, hello Gavin, hello Gavin... You get the idea.

Bugis-ed there till 11.30pm, and home at 12.

Went for tuition today, and finally went to JG, despite being A BIT late. It was replenishing.

And here I am, with some pictures on top. It's been a while since I posted some. Off to CS!

God Bless and Peace.

Happy Birthday Mr Leo and Mdm Tang!

A Maths test tmr so I can't blog for long.

At CCHS(M) on Sat, saw my ex-classmate Clarissa at one of the ice-cream stalls. Told her we should have a P6 reunion during one of the holidays, cos' the last time we had one was when we were Sec 1. "You organize lah" Will figure something out, after all it's been a while.

Went to The Bedok Community Library on Sun to do some studying. It is nice, cos' we went there in the afternoon, Junrong and Caleb. Thumbs-up for effective studying.

Today (well, not really) is both Mdm Tang and Mr Leo's birthday, ON THE SAME DAY! Nice one, but their birthdays actually on 12 April. Still young, the two of them. Mini party in class after school. We ordered Canadian and spam taupok on Mr Leo. :P

Tmr is the start of Night Study Programme, from 6 to 9.30pm every night till the exams. I'm in.

God Bless and Peace.

Short

'What's faced in the death-defying depths of reality is the reciprocal of the demeaning world of fantasy, that is why it is a damn fact.'

Realise I gotta add some photos. My photo memory's increasing and I'm not doing anything about it.

Anyway was really busy as usual, and exactly 3 more weeks to the mid years.

Today, I went with Samuel Chow, Kashish and Shawn to play pool at Katong. Pot almost all the balls for each of my three matches, except two of those damn black ones. Argh, the fact I blew my 8-ball three times ticked me off.

I wanted to go PLANETSHAKERS but I couldn't. I had to go for tuition and can't be changed, so had to make way. There's no such thing as a free lunch after all.

PE on thursday, we won 9-7 but it was a see-saw game. Then we learnt that we have 2 SPAs next week. O_O

Chem- ABS

Physics- Electricity

It really helps during our revision period, but it's Sec 4.

Chem re-test and got 17/25, but our class did badly. Got told off by Mr Wong Wai Lit to buck up, and about time a teacher did.

Try to go for JG but I have this carnival thing. If not this week, next week.

Time to stop sleeping and start revising.

God Bless and Peace.

Monday Blues for Red Devils

The day started and I swear I was tired, so I went downstairs, down a 5-minute breakfast and read the new paper to see what's up.

Boro 2-2 Man United

YEAHHH! That got me boosted for the day!

School Assembly and the Victorian Anthem plays. I never sing the national anthem and the pledge, mainly cos' I'm PR, but I never fail to sing the tune of the school anthem. Haha, must be the Victorian Spirit. (:
Went for FT period and had to do this CME project which I just remembered, and went through the topic of MARRIAGE? Yup, about who and who you want to marry and what age. According to my target, I have 12 years to decide. Too soon? We'll see.

Bio make-up practical session, and went to see Mr Chia for being late on Sports Day. The punishment?

"See me at 7 tmr, if late, 2 hr detention." Nobody loses.

Planned some things for the weekend.

1) Planetshakers on Friday at Expo. Just remembered I have to check out the website.

2)CCHMS Carnival. Just remembered I have to check out the website.

Make way, Chem tuition. (:

Oh, and Sunday was FREAKING HOT. Thanks to sunblock lotion, I am saved from the vicious rays of sunlight and severe sunburns.

Ok, now I have three things to do.

God Bless and Peace.

Sports Day

It was supposed to be a heartwarming school occasion: The Annual Track and Field Championships. Yet, only three-quarters of the entire grandstand was filled up and majority being the lower seconday students. But before that, lessons in school before 21 of us headed to Katong for an hour and a half of CS.

It was not so impressive for me in the beginning. I was short of cash, and didn't choose the right weapon. Then came to Kitchen map and out went the awp.

Bang.

Bang.

Bang.

They just came coming out of their guarded territory, and I sniped from the opposite end to register41 kills within around 40 min. In 1 round, just shot everyone in terrorist down with 10 bullets.

I know I may be bragging, but I just had to say it. But, I better not sink further into the dark rooms of LAN, not this year.

We rushed to VJC and had to run for Senior Leaders. It was horrible, man. I don't want to talk about it.

Listening to music and walking around. Then the end of sports day. The Victorian Anthem. Then the horrible cheers. Shoving around in the mass of students really ticked me off. And the humiliation we got from that failed attempt to round off the 'ever-exciting' Sports event.

I just went straight home after that, which was right opposite. :P

Today, tuition was pushed forward to 5, so I didn't have time to go JG. Had dinner with Dad and bro at PP and laid my first footsteps on the new bookstore, Borders. I thought, ' It looks the same as MPH' but no.

It had seats! Plus all the books were out of their shiny plastic covers and opening up any book of your choice was possible. It was like your very own library at home. Plus read a bit on Genetics and it cleared my mind on some parts of Bio.

I could be spending more time there very soon.

Oh yeah, I really want to but Maroon 5's Deluxe Edition of It Wo0n't Be Long Before Soon! (Does anyone have it?)

Another day tomorrow, and after that, another week, and another SA coming up. Sian -.-.

Oh well.

God Bless and Peace.

April: 1

It's been a while since I posted. Where should I start?

Nearest occasion: April's Fool.

Yesterday, received this message: "Gavin, bad news bout you"

I
thought it might be true since the tone was quite serious, not knowing when you scroll down the msg,

You are fooled! Happy April's Fool!

H
aha. Singaporeans should just look at the lighter side of things. Today newspaper actually went through the trouble to create a hoax on a large scale.

Singapore to have F1 team

It was front page on yesterday's paper, and many believed it. But the name gave it away when an Italian word translated into English, was an April fish. What a joke, seriously.

I shall flashback to last Sunday, when I had a short board game session with JGians at Mind Cafe. It was fun, considering the fact that today's technological advances practically wiped out the existence of this genre. Old brittle cards and worn out outer casings gave away the duration of their existence, but with friends to play with, who cares?

And a disaster at night. I'm sure some of you might know what.

Monday was my Chinese Oral, and I would like to say it was also a disaster. I don't speak Chinese at home, that's 1, and my teacher who was marking us students had zero confidence in her students. ZERO.

Pass? Yup. With flying colours? Nope.

See whether I can improve it in 3 months' time, and I'm sure I would, if I'd be LESS NERVOUS. -.-

Midyears and CL O Level still the main targets for now, and it just get better and better, doesn't it?

Geog- Entire book

SS- 3 and 4 except for last chap

Maths- S1-S4 (till vectors I think)

A Maths- Whole book?

Chem- Whole book till alkene

Physics- Until elctromagnetism

Bio- Molecular Genetics CHAP 20

Plus we had a shocking test on tues, where we had to answer 2 Geog questions in 25 min. It's just vomiting out all the facts.

Yup, welcome to the 'O' levels. This is almost everything in the entire 4 years' worth of time.

But just about it, DECEMBER, the world is literally at your own feet. Better grow those grey hair strands fast, and reap in the benefits.

Till my next entry, which is unforseen. Haha

God Bless and Peace.
